It all began with a crazy, beautiful idea : to share songs from every country in the world, and to give people something to read, as well as to listen to. At that time I was running a music blog which had picked up over 3 million hits, but this was way more ambitious than anything I had done before. While continuing to work full-time as a civil servant in Liverpool I spent five years collecting songs, and researching and writing about 200 countries.
