David Yeager first started writing books as a stay-at-home dad over 30 years ago. With a pile of rhyming children's stories and a handful of publisher rejection letters, he decided to give up on his dream for decades. After raising a family, and helping his wife start a software company, he finally decided to release his prized books one-by-one as a self-published writer under the pen name "David YayGrr". His first book, "Nikki Durant and the Terrible Can't" was inspired by his own wishes for his daughter who was just a toddler when the story was finished. She went on to illustrate the story as an adult and help him realize his first book. More recently, he published "Purple Rules" with a 15 year old Illustrator from Nova Scotia who won an illustration contest he held earlier this year. This book explores issues like race, diversity, and community with an exciting narrative that's interesting for young readers. Above all, David has a strong sense of responsibility to our readers and their communities, and commits to benefiting children around the world. Because of that, all profits from all books are donated directly to organizations that benefit children.
