Having spent most of her time with her nose in a book, Chéri Vausé found it easy to make the transition from reader to writer after spending more than twenty-five years teaching theology. Of course, she still can be found reading when she's not writing or out walking with her husband and two dogs, Mulder and Scully, in the Texas countryside. It was a natural progression from teaching theology to writing Noir Mystery Thrillers. She says they have a lot in common. Both the Bible and her Crime Thrillers begin in the dark and end in light, with lots of twists and turns in the middle, tragedies and joys, and characters who jump from the pages to become your friend. Chéri is married to the great love of her life, the mother of two sets of twins (all born on the same day fourteen years apart) (well, that's another story), a grandmother of eight, and a willing vassal to her dogs, a Coydog (part Beagle and part Coyote), and a Great Pyrénées.

While on their expedition to locate the cave, antiquity thieves learn of their quest and relentlessly pursue the archaeologists, hoping to sell the famous bones on the black market for millions, maybe more. The thieves, who are willing to risk murder to secure the theft, are limited only by a determined FBI Agent, who is willing to risk his life to protect the archaeologists, and a young woman, who is being used by the thieves to gain information about their quest. What they all find in the cave is well beyond the historical and biblical discovery of the bodies. What they find changes their lives and the lives of all mankind, forever.Chéri Vausé has been a teacher of Theology for over twenty years, and has used the Catholic Ladder, a biblical timeline developed by the Jesuit missionary priests to convert the American Indian, as the structure for her three-pronged approach to Christian theology.
