Born in Oakland Ca, lived most her life on the island of Alameda, but grew up in and around various San Francisco Bay Area locations, Candina Ann began her journey as early as she could walk. Ironically she did not realize her path to be a successful Author until 2016 while successfully completing her very 1st book of the series Adventures in Learning with Malibu: ABC's - inspired by the real rescue story of the family dog Malibu and fueled by a promise asked of by her mother a day before she passed away in her arms. As of today, this unique project continues to be encouraged by a huge support group of family, friends, families and businesses within the old and new communities. With a longstanding interest in a wide variety of topics, she has successfully created & published 6 children's learning books, 1 featured poem accepting into a collective book of poetry by Quill's books and now one of where very own titled My Own Ocean Tides. This unique portfolio will be her online voice and presence in the writing world in addition to her personal connections she continues within communities regularly. We look forward to Candina's continued contributions to the literary world, developing ideas and books coming in the near future and enjoy spending time watching her growth as not only a person but as a successful Author where her books, poems, and blogs will be featured on literary channels.

Malibu was a real dog, rescued from near death by the author’s mother. He became part of the family, bringing them unconditional love. The stories in this book are based on real people and real adventures. The stories are intended to help children learn their ABC’s and words that relate to them, all done with a child-like enthusiasm and featuring delightful, brightly-colored illustrations. Although the author is targeting audiences of children ages 1 yr. to 8 yrs. of age, she believes it is the beginning of a series of stories the whole family can enjoy. Stay tuned for Book 2 - 123's and Book 3 - Hidden Shapes n Color Me. All the books are truly delightful and the Activity & Coloring book is fun, engaging, and features the authors personally designed Mandala Art.
